Search and notifications
Search from anywhere
Section titled “Search from anywhere”The Search button at the top of every page opens a search box. You can also press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows and Linux) from any page. Press the same keys again to close it.
- Open search.
- Type in the box labelled “Search quotes, clients, products…”. Results appear after a short pause.
- Select a result to open it.
Results are grouped under Quotes, Clients and Products, with up to five of each. A quote reads #number - client. Quote search covers every colleague’s quotes, not just yours. If nothing matches, you see “No results found.”
Before you type
Section titled “Before you type”With the box empty, search offers shortcuts:
- Recent: up to eight items you opened lately, with a Clear Recent option.
- Quick Actions: Create Quote and Add Client.
- Navigation: Dashboard, Quotes, Clients, Products, Templates and Brands.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”The bell at the top of every page, labelled Notifications, shows a red count of unread notifications.
- Select the bell to open the Notifications panel.
- Select a notification to open the quote, client or import it is about. A few notifications, such as a finished client CSV import, have nothing to open. Unread items are in bold with a blue dot, and opening one marks it as read.
- Select Mark all as read to clear them all at once.
When you have no notifications at all, the panel says “No notifications” and “You are all caught up”. Notifications you have read stay in the list until they are removed after 90 days.
The panel refreshes about once a minute, so a new notification can take up to a minute to appear. Notifications are kept for 90 days.
What triggers a notification
Section titled “What triggers a notification”- A quote you created has expired.
- A quote is about to expire. The reminder goes to the person the quote is assigned to, or to its creator if it is not assigned. Reminders arrive when the expiry date is within 7 days and again within 3 days.
- You are added to, or removed from, a quote as a contributor.
- A pricelist import or a client CSV import finishes, or a pricelist import fails.
- A scheduled price change or an archived product affects a product on one of your active quotes. The notification names the affected quotes.
